
The Canadian Conference on Ovarian Cancer Research (CCOCR), happening May 29 – June 1 in Vancouver, brings together leading experts to share knowledge and showcase research excellence.
Attendees will hear from an outstanding lineup of speakers, including:
- Dr. James Brenton’s (Cambridge, UK) research focuses on advancing understanding of the genomic complexity of ovarian cancer and identifying blood and tissue biomarkers to predict therapy
- Dr. Mercedes Castiel (New York City, NY) has particular expertise in cancer survivorship, with a history of developing and directing numerous women’s cancer survivorship programs across the United States
- Dr. Ronny Drapkin’s (Philadelphia, PA) research focuses on the evolution of ovarian cancers and played a pivotal role in the identification of the fallopian tube as the origin of most high-grade serous ovarian cancers
- Dr. William Foulkes (Montreal, QC)has made numerous discoveries in cancer genetics, including defining how to treat BRCA1-related cancers clinically and characterizing several founder mutations
- Dr. Yvette Drew (Vancouver, BC) specializes in the care and management of patients with gynecological cancers and the development and delivery of early phase clinical trials
- Dr. Jessica McAlpine’s (Vancouver, BC) research focuses on the development and application of molecular tools to stratify risk and direct care for endometrial and ovarian cancers
