Public Awareness of Cancer Screening Recommendations, Education, and Engagement in British Columbia

Study Purpose

This study aims to understand how much people in British Columbia know about cancer screening for cervical, breast, and colorectal cancer. We also want to learn whether people are aware of recent changes to cervical cancer screening, including human papillomavirus (HPV) testing.

Study Participation

Participants will complete a short online survey that takes approximately 5–10 minutes. The survey will ask questions about awareness of cancer screening programs in British Columbia. Participants will also be asked about their knowledge of recent cervical screening changes, their trust in screening programs, and where they get health information.

Study Compensation

We will not pay you for the time you take to be in this study. Five participants will be randomly selected to receive a $15 electronic gift card. The electronic gift card will be redeemable online at various retailers.

Study Risks

There are no risks associated with participation in this study.

Inclusion Criteria

• Be 18 years of age or older at the time of participation
• Currently reside in British Columbia, Canada
• Be able to read and understand English
• Have access to an internet-connected device (such as a phone, tablet, or computer) to complete the online survey
