Today is World Cancer Day.

Observed annually on February 4 and led by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), World Cancer Day is a global initiative that brings people together to raise awareness, advance care, and mobilize action to address the global cancer burden.

This year’s theme, United By Unique, reminds us that every cancer journey is different.

In recognition of World Cancer Day, we asked GCI trainees: “How do you want to make an impact in gynecologic cancer research?

Their responses highlight the diverse passions, motivations, and pathways that drive the next generation of researchers, clinicians, and advocates working to advance the prevention, detection, treatment and survivorship of gynecologic cancers.
