Dr. Michael Anglesio is a principle investigator in the Ovarian Cancer Research Program (OVCARE) with BC Cancer and the University of British Columbia (UBC) and is also Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at UBC. After studying Microbiology and Immunology at McGill University, he went on to undertake his PhD with the Pediatric Cancer Research Program and post-doctoral fellowship at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Center in Melbourne, Australia. His work focuses on further refining and differentiating ovarian cancer subtypes and the various origins of these subtypes. He has also taken a strong interest in understanding how malignancies such as clear cell and endometrioid ovarian cancers may arise from endometriosis.
